The JoJo 10 Inch 1 Micron PP Sediment Filter Cartridge is designed to capture very fine sediment, dirt, rust and other suspended particles down to 1 micron. It is suitable for point-of-use systems and lower-volume whole-house filtration applications where improved water clarity and finer filtration are required.

It can be used as a single stage of sediment filtration or as the first stage in a multi-stage system. When installed before a carbon or Disruptor™ cartridge, it helps reduce the sediment load on the next filtration stage, supporting better performance and a longer cartridge life.

A 1 Micron cartridge is ideal for:

• Removing very fine sediment and suspended particles
• Improving water clarity
• Providing finer filtration than a 5 or 10 Micron cartridge
• Helping protect downstream carbon or Disruptor™ cartridges

Because it captures smaller particles, the cartridge may restrict flow sooner and require more frequent replacement where the incoming water contains high levels of sediment.

For water with a heavy sediment load, use a 10 or 5 Micron cartridge in Stage 1, followed by the 1 Micron cartridge in Stage 2. This allows larger particles to be removed first, helping maintain better flow and extend the life of the finer cartridge.

Helpful Tips

• Cartridge life will vary depending on your water quality, water consumption and the cartridge combination used.
• A noticeable reduction in water flow usually indicates that the cartridge needs to be replaced.
• For water with high sediment levels, install a 5 or 10 Micron cartridge before the 1 Micron cartridge.
• Suitable for municipal, rainwater and borehole water applications, provided the water source is appropriately managed.
• Borehole water should be tested to determine the correct treatment requirements and confirm that it is safe for domestic use.
